Programas

The Center for Chronic Illness offers support groups for anyone impacted by chronic illness and rare disease. All programs are free of cost, meet virtually, and are facilitated by licensed mental health professionals. *Please note, while our support groups are professionally-facilitated and may offer psycho-educational tools for coping, our groups are NOT psychotherapy or counseling groups and are not an exchange for individual psychotherapy.

Please follow these steps to sign up for a support group:

​

  1. Visit the HeyPeers website 

  2. Enter your email address, and click continue

  3. Enter your first and last name, and choose a username

  4. Choose a password, and agree to the HeyPeers Terms & Conditions

  5. Enter some demographic information and agree to Center for Chronic Illness disclaimer

  6. Find a meeting from the List or Calendar view, and click Register

Vivir conscientemente con enfermedades crónicas : un grupo centrado en el aprendizaje de la atención plena, la meditación y la autocompasión, el segundo y cuarto martes de cada mes, de 6 a 7 p.m. PST

Enfermedad crónica rara : un grupo de apoyo para adultos que viven con problemas de salud poco comunes, el primer martes de cada mes, de 4 a 5 p.m., hora estándar del Pacífico

Enfermedad crónica para padres: un grupo de apoyo para padres de niños de cualquier edad que vivan con problemas de salud continuos, el segundo lunes de cada mes, de 4 a 5 p. M. PST

Viviendo con cistinosis : un grupo de apoyo para pacientes que viven con la enfermedad rara, cistinosis, el tercer martes de cada mes, de 4 a 5 p. M. PST

Grupo de apoyo para padres con cistinosis: un grupo de apoyo para padres de personas que viven con la enfermedad rara, cistinosis, el tercer martes de cada dos meses, de 2: 30 a 3: 30 p.m. PST (20 de julio, 21 de septiembre, 16 de noviembre)

COVID-19 Long-Haulers : un grupo de apoyo para cualquier persona que experimente problemas de salud continuos después de haber sido diagnosticado con COVID-19, el cuarto martes de cada mes, de 4 a 5 p.m. PST

Creatividad y enfermedades crónicas : un grupo de apoyo para cualquier persona que viva con una enfermedad crónica y quiera expresarse a través del arte, los domingos de 10 a. M. A 11:30 a. M. PST.

Viviendo con el trastorno del ciclo de la urea : un grupo de apoyo para pacientes que viven con la enfermedad rara, el trastorno del ciclo de la urea (UCD), el tercer miércoles de cada mes, de 4 a 5 p. M. PST (17 de marzo de 2021, 19 de mayo, 21 de julio, 15 de septiembre y 17 de noviembre)

Cuidando el trastorno del ciclo de la urea : un grupo de apoyo para los cuidadores, padres y seres queridos de las personas que viven con el trastorno del ciclo de la urea (UCD), el primer miércoles de cada mes, de 4 a 5 p.m. PST (a partir del 7 de abril de 2021, 2 de junio, agosto 4, 6 de octubre y 1 de diciembre)

Apoyo a los afroamericanos que viven con enfermedades crónicas : un grupo de apoyo para personas afroamericanas afectadas por problemas de salud en curso, el segundo miércoles de cada mes, de 4 a 5 p. M. PST

Adolescentes que viven con enfermedades crónicas : un grupo de apoyo para adolescentes (de 15 a 17 años) que viven con problemas de salud continuos, el primer lunes de cada mes, de 4 a 5 p. M. PST, * Tenga en cuenta que tanto el padre / tutor como el adolescente deberán firmar un formulario de consentimiento antes de que el adolescente pueda participar en el grupo virtual
